YU ZHIXUAN, SHIRLEY
Shirley joined SOMA Dance Theatre for the touring production The Last Unsaid, performing with the company in Korea, She also performed in Before it Fades at the HOTPOT East Asia Dance Platform 2026.
Yu Zhixuan, born in Zhejiang, China, began her training in Chinese classical and folk dance before pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Dance Performance at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in Contemporary Dance.
She has performed in works by international choreographers including Void (Jarek Cemerek), Being Human Being (Ema Yuasa), Grand Finale (Excerpt) (Hofesh Shechter), and Liminal Border (Francisco Córdova). She also participated in HKAPA’s Choreographic Workshop I & II and collaborated with Tao Dance Theatre at the SWEAT Hong Kong International Dance Workshop Festival 2025.
She has joined international programmes such as GagaLab Berlin 2025 and VERTEBRA DANSA 2026, continuing to expand her movement vocabulary and stage experience.
