CHAN KING CHING, JADE

Jade is a Hong Kong-based contemporary dance artist, choreographer, and independent curator holding a BFA (Honours) from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Driven by an inquiry into human boundaries, physical endurance, and structural repetition, she has established a compelling choreographic voice across professional and community stages. Her notable works include her debut narrative piece Believer, Leave It Blank, and the commissioned duet Time and Time Again for E-Side Dance Company’s Interflow. She seamlessly manages complete project lifecycles, regularly creating original ensemble pieces for youth showcases and the Hong Kong Schools Dance Festival.
 

As a versatile performer, Jade’s international and local credits include performing in Öff Öff Aerial Dance’s Insekten at Switzerland’s BETA Stage Festival, alongside works by renowned global choreographers—including Stephanie Lake’s Colossus, Sang Jijia’s Stream of Dust, and Dam Van Huynh’s Synthetic. Her 18-month tenure performing at Hong Kong Disneyland further honed her rigorous staging discipline and adaptability in fast-paced production environments.
 

Grounded by certifications in Standard First Aid (Red Cross), BASI Pilates, 200-Hour Yoga, and AASFP Sports Science, Jade integrates anatomical precision, bodily mechanics, and physical longevity directly into her performance and choreographic practice.
